Am I eligible for an ADHD Assessment?

At The Butterfly Clinic, ADHD assessments are available for children and adults with Dr Margaret Chung.
Yourself, or your child may be eligible for an ADHD assessment if there are ongoing challenges with:

  • Are questioning whether ADHD may be affecting you
  • Experience difficulties with focus, organisation, memory, or emotional regulation
  • Often feel overwhelmed by daily responsibilities
  • Face ongoing challenges at school, university, or in the workplace
  • Have not previously undergone a formal ADHD assessment
  • Would like clarity to guide treatment, support, or next steps

These appointments are longer than standard GP visits and provide a supportive, structured space to explore how symptoms affect daily life at home, school, or work.

If ADHD is diagnosed, Dr Chung can provide ongoing GP-led treatment and management for patients, often without the need for a psychiatrist referral.

Initial Appointment
$600.00
Rebate: $125.10

A comprehensive consultation including discussion of your concerns, detailed clinical assessment, validated screening tools, and structured questionnaires. Where appropriate, we may also gather collateral information. Pathology tests (including blood tests) and an ECG will be arranged if clinically indicated.

Second Appointment
$600.00
Rebate: $125.10-$202.65

A detailed review of findings, diagnostic formulation, and tailored recommendations. This session includes a thorough feedback discussion to help you understand the outcomes and next steps.

Third Appointment
$195.00
Rebate: $43.90-$84.90

Finalisation of diagnosis (if applicable) and discussion of management options, including medication where appropriate.
