I’m Dr Sarah Ryan, a Specialist General Practitioner. I think it’s a unique joy and privilege of General Practice to journey with our patients through the ups and downs of life.
With two small children, I understand how busy life can get and how tricky it can be to prioritise our own health. I love to provide holistic care to all our patients - women and men - no matter the stage of life.
More about Sarah
I graduated from the University of Queensland in 2014, and worked at The Prince Charles Hospital, Mater Adults Hospital, Mater Mothers' Hospital and Queensland Children's Hospital for a number of years before joining General Practice in 2017. I enjoy all aspects of general practice, but have a particular passion for:
- Contraception & sexual health (including Implanon insertion)
- Pregnancy planning (including discussion regarding genetic screening options, and initial investigations for sub-fertility)
- Pregnancy and postpartum care of mothers and babies (shared care certified with Mater Mothers’ Hospital & Queensland Health)
- Menopause & perimenopause
- Mental health & burnout
- Preventative health care (including cancer screening)
Outside of medicine, I spend my time chasing my two energetic toddlers (who are adorable but despise sleep!), and dreaming of tropical holidays.
