Dr Margaret Chung

I graduated with an MBBS from the University of New South Wales in 2008, before relocating to Brisbane to complete my residency at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and the Royal Children’s Hospital. I obtained my RACGP Fellowship in 2015. 

With a special interest in women’s health, I obtained a National Certificate in Reproductive and Sexual Health through Family Planning Alliance Australia. I provide pregnancy GP Shared Care in partnership with Mater Mothers’ Hospital, Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, and Logan Hospital. I enjoy supporting women through all stages of their health journey — from preconception planning and antenatal care to postpartum care and contraceptive management. This includes Implanon, Copper IUD, Kyleena, and Mirena insertions.

I adopt a play-based approach in consultations with children, creating a safe and engaging environment that fosters trust and reduces fear. I hope that as they grow, they will feel confident to seek care and openly share their concerns.

In addition, I offer a range of procedural services, including iron infusions, skin checks, and skin lesion biopsies and excisions. I also have a strong interest in skin health and have undertaken further training to offer medical-grade beauty advice.
